Before
The client wanted a low maintenance, "green" vacation home built in an area without readily available power service.
After
Kodiak Construction helped design and then build a house off the power grid using solar PV panels for electricity and propane gas for water heating. Exterior maintenance is minimal due to the use of natural cedar shingle siding, metal roofing, aluminum clad windows and integral colored stucco. Kodiak Construction finished the interior with heated concrete floors, low VOC paints and wood windows that help maintain high air quality.
