Kodiak Construction has a long-standing alliance with DeWitt Design Studios. This collaborative and trusting relationship between building professional and designer can help inform the design process, thus reducing costly design time or ending with a design beyond the budget's reach. Although Kodiak Construction mostly collaborates with DeWitt Design Studios, Kodiak Construction also routinely works with other design professionals.

House remodels can be very stressful. The clients' most personal space, their home, is invaded by outsiders, disrupting routines and creating a mess. Kodiak Construction operates under the premise that open communication is key to a successful project; the goal is to inform clients about the process and what to expect. Kodiak Construction encourages regular progress meetings to discuss schedules, names of the working sub-contractors, finish material decisions, possible concerns and the overall status of the project.
Kodiak Construction understands that it is difficult for many people to visualize the final project from the blueprints. While it is usually better to have most of the project details determined before construction begins, that does not always happen. Once the project is underway, different ideas may need investigating. If an alteration is requested, change orders are provided with a description of the work, how it will affect the project schedule, and the additional cost.
